Keeping the slogan of "Sheikh Hasina's initiative home-to-house", the government is committed to delivering electricity to homes across Bangladesh by 2021. The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh introduced a pre-payment meter in the 21st to prevent the misuse and wastage of electricity generated and to create automatic billing facilities. At present, initiatives have been taken to set up 2.5 million pre-payment meters by 2021 by further modernizing the pre-payment meters. Due to this, work is underway to install / replace the pre-payment meter in the geographical area of Dhaka Rural Electricity Association-1. By installing / replacing the prepayment meter, respected customer members will be able to enjoy the following benefits.
1. Subscribers of the prepayment meter will get a 5% discount on their electricity bill.
2. Security deposit will not be accepted in case of new connection and increase load through pre-payment meter.
3. In the case of a prepayment meter, there is no need to worry about extra bills. Periodically you can pay bills at home with your mobile.
4. Electricity bills will not be deducted, so there will be no line cut tension and no additional DC / RC fee of Rs.
5. At any time, the customer will be able to see how much electricity is consumed and how much money is left.
6. The use of a pre-payment meter does not affect the electrical equipment of the house due to the voltage fluctuations.
7. Due to incorrect meter readings, there is no problem in paying extra bill. According to the customer's electricity consumption, money will be deducted from the meter.
8. Many times by placing bills on ownership and placing the burden on others, the pre-payment meter will not have that opportunity.
9. Considering the customer's disadvantages, the meter will not stop power supply even if there is no money on the weekends, other special holidays and friendly hours (8am to 5pm the next morning). This time the meter will supply electricity to the credit.
Some questions and answers regarding prepaid meter:
(A) What is the bill less / more than the post-paid meter in pre-paid meter?
Answer: No. The prepaid meter will be billed at the same amount of post-paid meter. The price listed for each unit of post-paid meter is given in the memory of prepaid meter. So electricity bills will be equal in two types of meters. There is no chance for more / less.
B) Can one area be able to recharge another area card?
Answer: Customers of any area of Dhaka Pally Bidyut Samity-4 will be able to recharge the card in the geographical area of Dhaka Palli Bidyut Samity-4 where pre-paid meter is available to recharge.
C) What is the card to be lost or lost?
Answer: If the card is lost or lost contact the office concerned.
D) Can one recharge meter with one meter card?
Answer: One meter card can not be recharge with another meter. Because each card has to be connected to a particular meter. The meter can be charged on the card with the same meter.
E) Where do I contact if there is problem in the meter or recharge?

F) Recharge the card and keep the charge of the balance without leaving the balance?

How will it be known when Karen Meter of Over Load is closed, and what is it to do?
Answer: Overload will give an alarm before the meter is closed and if the load is not reduced, the meter will travel five times a few times, but if the load is not reduced then the meter will be off for 30 minutes. If the load is not reduced after 30 minutes, the meter will re-alar. In this case, to increase the load, the concerned office will be contacted.
J) Where to vending?
Answer: Cards can be recharged from the head office / zonal office / sub-zonal office's own vending station, vending station of different banks and point-of-sale (POS).
Q. Who will pay the cost of the pre-paid meter and the cost of planting?
Answer: The analog / digital meter association set up at the customer end will be replaced by prepaid meter for its own financing. Besides, if the meter is destroyed due to natural reasons, the remaining balances will be given free of charge.
L) How can the meter be recharged?
Answer: Prepaid Meter Operational Manual will be provided to recharge the meter. The meter can be recharge according to the instructions of the manual.
